The USDA is currently collecting information on the ability to access Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed to safely and legally apply different pesticides in your farming operation. You may or may not experience challenges this year obtaining the proper PPE. We are trying to gauge the need for PPE statewide to see what can be done to fill those needs.

There are two options for completing the survey:

  1. To indicate what your individual farm/nursery needs are please click download and fill-in this form with your farm PPE needs: PPEsanitationneedsUSDArequest.  Then save it and attach it to an email to foodsupplychain@usda.gov. Include the Name of your Farm or Nursery, and “PPE/Sanitization Needs” in the subject line.
  2.  If you are unsure how to complete the excel form you can also send an email to Robin Tutor (tutorr@ecu.edu) with your farm name and PPE Needs. Please include the following information in the email: 
  • Type of respirators used (e.g., N95, half face, full face)
  • Type of filters/cartridges used (e.g., particulate filter (P100), P100/organic vapor, P100/acid gas (fumigants)
  • Number of respirators needed for the year
  • Number of filters or combination cartridges needed for the year (by type)
