Pesticide Recertification Opportunities 2020-2021

Agents in Wilkes, Surry, Stokes, Yadkin, and Forsyth Counties are partnering to deliver pesticide recertification opportunities for license holders in the region. Many of these will be held virtually via the Zoom platform, while some offer a limited in-person class option. Those outside the region are welcome to join virtual meetings.
To receive credit for attending a virtual meeting, applicators must provide license information as required and have their cameras on for the duration of the meeting.
Registration is required for ALL classes.
Below is the schedule of classes, with venue/format and credits offered, as well as registration links. Please note that registration is not yet open for some events. Please contact your local Cooperative Extension Center with any questions.
December 1, 2020 – Pesticide Class with Landscape Focus
9–11 a.m.
Credits offered: 2 hrs L,N,D,X,O and 1 hr H, G

December 10, 2020 -Pesticide Class with Landscape Focus

January 21, 2020 – Hemp Meeting and Research Update
8 a.m.–noon
Research update from NC State Extension specialists on: hemp strain trial results, pest and disease management updates, drying and post-harvest information. Plus, a panel featuring growers and industry professionals. Pre-registration is required through the Eventbrite page.
One hour (N,D,O,X) pesticide credit will be available for licensed applicators (pending approval).
February 9, 2021 – “V” Training for Private Applicators

**Important: If your certification expires in 2020, 5 self-paced online training opportunities are available for a limited time. These online training sessions are NOT an option and you will NOT receive credit if your certification date is any year other than 2020. These classes cannot be repeated for additional credit. Cost: $15/each. Each class will earn 1 hour of pesticide credit in the following categories: A, B, D, G, H, K, I, L, M, O, N, T, and X. REMINDER: In order to recertify, your credits cannot all be earned in the same calendar year.**

Remember that private applicators who needed to rectify in 2020 have until November 30, 2020, to complete all credits. There may be online opportunities to do so. This page shows all upcoming recertification classes.
