Join N.C Cooperative Extension of Wilkes County on October 18th, for our vegetable post harvest workshop. The activities you take during harvest and postharvest handling of your vegetables can have a big impact on the shelf-life, quality and safety of your produce. In this workshop, you will learn about harvest and postharvest activities that impact product quality and actions you can take to minimize food safety risks on the farm and in your packing area. As part of the workshop, we will travel to tour a local farm to showcase how they use post harvest and food safety practices with their produce. The cost of the workshop is $12 per person and lunch will be provided. Please click on the link below to register.
