Preserve Plan and Prosper: Protecting Farm and Forest Resources in North Carolina

(Updated: July 10, 2026, 11:59 a.m.)
Forest scene broken into 3 panes.

This workshop series, directed at North Carolina landowners, who want practical, trustworthy information, will bring local farmers, landowners, and resource providers together for workshops focused on forest management and registration, income producing opportunities, how to improve productivity, where to find support, and a discussion about heir property and succession planning. This event is designed for agricultural and forestry landowners, but all are welcome.

You’ll walk away with clearer next steps, new connections, and a better understanding of how to preserve your land, plan for its future, and prosper from its potential.

Join us for an interactive workshop at Mayland Community College where you will hear from a variety of speakers and have a chance to interact with attorneys and nonprofit farmland preservation and conservation organizations including the Land Loss Prevention Project, Black Family Land Trust, Inc., Roanoke Cooperative Sustainable Forestry and Land Retention Project, and the North Carolina Agricultural Mediation Program.

Event Time: 9:30 am to 3 pm, Wednesday, August 26th

Free in-person event.

Lunch is provided.

Registration required.
