Mushroom Log Making Workshop
The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Wilkes County center will be holding a hands-on mushroom log making workshop. Each participant will be able to inoculate and take home their very own mushroom log. This workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 15th, at 10 a.m. at the Wilkes County Agricultural Center in conference room C, located at 416 Executive Dr. Wilkesboro, NC 28697. The cost is $30 per person and space is limited and you will have a choice between Shiitake or Oyster spawn.
Horticulture agent Matthew Clay, along with the NC State Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteers of Wilkes County, will cover all aspects of mushroom production and will offer a hands-on experience inoculating your own oyster mushroom log to take home.
